Purgatory is spilling out on earth.

Hell on earth was one thing - but this, this was worse. Hell was filled with the fallen and the cruel. Purgatory was filled with every soul-less thing ever killed. Every monster, every living nightmare. And with the tear still open - there was no place to send them, they just spilled right back out again
